The Giver: Book Report The story begins as Jonas, a twelve-year-old kid, who is hanging tight for his life task. At the point when he is given his task, he is picked to be the Collector of Memory. As the Receiver he needs to get each memory from everywhere throughout the world from the old Receiver he calls The Giver. Â Â Â Â Â The Giver: The Giver is the man who is the old Receiver.
